Carvoeiro Golf Trip

Carvoeiro is one of the most picturesque coastal villages of the central Algarve, set between Ferragudo and Armação de Pêra. Once a quiet fishing village, it has grown into a much-loved destination that has largely kept its authentic Portuguese character.

Atmosphere and setting: the village is built around a sheltered bay, Praia de Carvoeiro, where the characteristic white houses climb up the steep sandstone cliffs. The village square borders the beach directly and is lined with terraces and restaurants.

Algar Seco: a short walk from the centre lies this spectacular natural site, a network of sea-carved rock formations, caves, natural arches and the well-known rock window A Boneca ("The Doll").

Carvoeiro Boardwalk: a wooden path along the top of the cliffs, between the ruins of the old fort Nossa Senhora da Encarnação and Algar Seco. Ideal for a walk with panoramic views over the Atlantic.

Benagil and coastal boat trips: traditional fishing boats and small tours leave the little harbour daily to explore the famous sea caves, including the Gruta de Benagil, and hidden beaches along the coastline.

Seven Hanging Valleys Trail: Carvoeiro is a perfect base for this award-winning 5.7 km (one way) cliff walk from Praia da Centeanes to Praia da Marinha.
