From Amsterdam you can book a one-day GVB course with Zalm Golf; our course venues are currently in the Rotterdam region, about an hour's drive via the A4 and A29 (roughly 95 km). For a single full course day from 09:00 to 17:00 — exam and certificate included — that is very manageable: drive out in the morning, come home in the evening with your Dutch golf licence (GVB). Playing golf afterwards is easy, because Amsterdam has a surprising amount of golf inside and just outside the ring road: Golfbaan Waterland sits five kilometres from the centre in Noord, and with The International near Badhoevedorp the region even has a championship-level course. Whether you have zero experience or have hit a few balls before, the course adapts to your level.
No own clubs needed
A rental set will be ready for you on the day. Bringing your own clubs is fine, not required.
No prior knowledge
You'll learn the theory and technique on the day. No need to prepare anything at home.

Right after your GVB
Sort your NGF registration in 5 minutes
The GVB is your access pass to Dutch courses, but you only really count in the golf system once you're NGF-registered. That gives you your official handicap, lets you enter competitions, and gets you a lower rate at most clubs.

No drama: you can resit free of charge with the same golf pro at a time that suits you. You don't have to repeat the course day itself.
