You can get your Dutch golf licence (GVB / baanpermissie) from Rotterdam in a single day: our course locations sit in and just south of the city, within a 10 to 35 minute drive from the centre. Rotterdam is a surprisingly good golf city — courses like Kralingen and Seve sit inside the ring road, and quiet 9-hole courses just outside town are ideal exam venues. We schedule the course day at clubs with no membership queues: below you can see live which dates are open, what the course costs, and which pro leads it. One day of theory, technique and on-course practice, finished with the official exam — after which you can play independently on almost any Dutch course.

No own clubs needed

A rental set will be ready for you on the day. Bringing your own clubs is fine, not required.

No prior knowledge

You'll learn the theory and technique on the day. No need to prepare anything at home.

Right after your GVB

Sort your NGF registration in 5 minutes

The GVB is your access pass to Dutch courses, but you only really count in the golf system once you're NGF-registered. That gives you your official handicap, lets you enter competitions, and gets you a lower rate at most clubs.

How long does the GVB day take in the Rotterdam region?
The course runs for one full day: roughly 09:00 to 17:00. We cover the theory, practise technique and etiquette on the range and on the course, and finish with the practical and theory exams.
How much does it cost and what's included?
The starting price at the top is pulled live from our planning. Included: all lessons, equipment for the day, the GVB exam, and your certificate. Whether the greenfee and parking are included is shown per date, since it varies per course.
Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?
No. A rental set is ready for you on the day. Wear a sport-friendly outfit and shoes, and you're set.
What if I don't pass the exam on the day?
It rarely happens, but you can resit the exam at a later date with the same pro at no extra cost. You keep your progress and don't have to redo the course.
How far do I have to travel from Rotterdam?
